The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slinga connects with a high kick.
Slinga throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slinga pushes Manhoef away with a front kick.
Slinga misses with a straight left.
Melvin Manhoef seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manhoef moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Slinga pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Slinga throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Manhoef stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Manhoef closes the distance and pushes Slinga back into the cage.
Slinga misses with a hook from the clinch.
Slinga presses Manhoef against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Manhoef misses with a body punch.
Slinga lands a right hand that snaps the head of Manhoef backwards.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Slinga.
Slinga misses with a punch on the inside.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slinga gets through Manhoef's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Slinga swings wildly with an uppercut but Manhoef uses good head movement to avoid it.

Slinga pushes Manhoef against the cage. Slinga is working some dirty boxing. Slinga pushes off with a quick right hook! Manhoef goes down! Manhoef tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Slinga moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
