6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Eye! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Eye fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Colt avoids it really well and circles away. Eye is trying hard to land a takedown here. Colt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Colt tries to counter with a takedown but Eye is quick to defend against it. Eye throws a combination that misses and Colt counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Eye pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Colt throws a big counter combination but Eye scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Eye shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Colt defends it nicely. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Eye shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Colt counters with a series of strikes. Eye will be more careful next time no doubt. Eye tried to score with a low kick but Colt checks it. Eye looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Colt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Colt looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Colt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Eye's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Eye looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Eye manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Eye sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Colt defending well though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Colt avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Eye. Eye looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Colt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Eye on the ground.
