Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kimo Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and david cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). david cannon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimo Rice! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, david cannon! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rice swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Rice drops cannon with a left and a right! Oh, cannon is hurt - Rice dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like david cannon has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! cannon tries to buck Rice off but Rice is having none of it. cannon struggling a bit here. cannon is looking to reverse the position. cannon wants to get back to his feet but Rice drags him back down. cannon looks gassed! Rice tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on cannon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. cannon is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rice bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops cannon! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
cannon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rice tries to stand but cannon is controlling from the bottom. cannon trying to keep a closed guard but Rice is proving a slippery customer.
Rice has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rice tries to stand but cannon is controlling from the bottom. Rice trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. cannon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. cannon has a closed guard, preventing Rice from standing up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. cannon takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That has opened up david cannon's cut even more. david cannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rice swinging wilding here.
cannon fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kimo Rice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of david cannon. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rice steps into range and cracks cannon with a monster punch that buckles his knees! cannon flops backwards and Rice dives into his guard looking to finish!
cannon is rocked! Rice avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kimo Rice dominated that round. The cut man is working on david cannon's cut. That's time! Rice's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rice cracks cannon with a left hook right on the temple and cannon goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Rice lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully cannon is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kimo Rice!
