Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Galo Sarabia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deshawn Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deshawn Shaw is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Galo Sarabia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Deshawn Shaw!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarabia throws a body punch but Shaw moves out of range.
Shaw changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Shaw leaves Sarabia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Shaw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sarabia swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Sarabia closes the distance and clinches.
Sarabia blocks the elbow strike.
Sarabia is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Sarabia has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Shaw avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

A jab-cross combination lands for Sarabia and sends Shaw crashing to the mat! Sarabia follows him down to the mat - Shaw regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Shaw has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

Sarabia feints and as Shaw raises his hands in defense, Sarabia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shaw can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sarabia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shaw tries to avoid it but Sarabia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shaw to the ground. Shaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
