Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leland Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Baunilha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leland Everett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pablo Baunilha!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baunilha shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Everett as he avoids it easily.

Everett has Baunilha up against the cage in a clinch.

Everett decides to pull guard.
Baunilha trying to control the position from guard on top but Everett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Baunilha is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Baunilha wants to control from the top but Everett keeps moving.

Baunilha thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Baunilha postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Baunilha accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Everett holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Baunilha should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Everett shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Baunilha napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Everett postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Everett shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Everett is keen to just control but Baunilha is a slippery customer.
Everett knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baunilha on the ground.

Everett turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Everett manages to end up in side control.

Baunilha throws Everett to one side and escapes!

Everett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Baunilha wants to get back to his feet but Everett is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Everett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Baunilha has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Everett has managed to get both his arms back between Baunilha's legs - danger averted.

Baunilha is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Everett throws a big elbow that misses.
Everett wants to control from the top but Baunilha keeps moving.
Everett loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Baunilha utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Baunilha fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Everett decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
