Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Sandford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kearney McGarrity (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sandford might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Two steps from hell-Heart of courage. The crowd seem to be enjoying McGarrity's choice of entrance music: Payback-Slayer. Kearney McGarrity has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandford drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McGarrity tests Sandford's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sandford tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McGarrity was well out of range. Poor timing from Sandford.
McGarrity lands with a hook. Sandford tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Sandford takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sandford digs a good body shot into McGarrity's ribs.
Sandford misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McGarrity is looking for the big counter here.
Sandford uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McGarrity has time to react.

Sandford scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oooooh!!! McGarrity has knocked Sandford down with a huge combo! McGarrity steps away and waves a wobbly Sandford back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

McGarrity is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Sandford seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGarrity does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sandford rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGarrity moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McGarrity jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sandford walks into a stiff left hand from McGarrity.

Sandford lands a jab to McGarrity's midsection.
Sandford on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McGarrity. McGarrity obviously looking to wear him down.
McGarrity leaves Sandford with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Sandford. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sandford fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from McGarrity. Sandford does a little dance to reset his feet.

Oh Sandford is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McGarrity avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McGarrity misses the shot to the body.
McGarrity pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McGarrity closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Sandford! McGarrity dives in looking to finish! Sandford is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kearney McGarrity!
After winning the bout, Kearney McGarrity thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
