Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chad Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Middleton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Steve McQueen. Chad Mendes had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 136.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Middleton paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Middleton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mendes.

Mendes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $800 fee) in the buildup to the fight.
Mendes lands a nice hook to Middleton's body. Middleton takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

It looked like Mendes wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
