Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perry Roscrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Lavronenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roscrow comes to the cage accompanied by Wicked Gil. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roman Lavronenko! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roscrow throws a half hearted mid kick. Roscrow with a hook.
It looks like Roman Lavronenko has been cut. A left lands for Roscrow. Roscrow connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Roscrow misses with a shot to the body and Lavronenko counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Perry Roscrow has been cut. Lavronenko scores with a sloppy right hand. Roscrow should have avoided that one. Roscrow closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Roscrow changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lavronenko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Roscrow working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lavronenko looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lavronenko is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Roscrow off and has taken his back! Lavronenko punches Roscrow on the ear. Roscrow prevents Lavronenko from getting a body triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lavronenko controlling well, preventing Roscrow from escaping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lavronenko working for a choke but Roscrow is defending well. Roscrow fending off the submission attempt from Lavronenko. Lavronenko controlling well, preventing Roscrow from escaping the position.
Lavronenko is persistently looking for the submission but Roscrow is defending it well.
Lavronenko has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Roscrow has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Lavronenko is trying to stick to Roscrow's back but Roscrow is turning into Lavronenko. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lavronenko's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Roscrow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roscrow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Roscrow makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Lavronenko is trying to keep Roscrow in close.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Roscrow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roscrow got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lavronenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roscrow has managed to get both his arms back between Lavronenko's legs - danger averted. Lavronenko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Roscrow with a flurry of punches that miss. Roscrow is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Roscrow drops back looking for a leg! Lavronenko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lavronenko manages to kick Roscrow off! Roscrow jumps back into Lavronenko's guard. Roscrow wants to pass the guard but Lavronenko is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lavronenko has his foot on Roscrow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Roscrow works his way back into a safe position though. Lavronenko throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lavronenko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Roscrow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Roscrow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lavronenko is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Roscrow defends well. Roscrow trying to control but Lavronenko is working from the bottom. Roscrow advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lavronenko looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Lavronenko is looking to get back to full guard here but Roscrow has managed to pass to side control instead. Lavronenko parries the strikes from Roscrow easily there. Roscrow is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lavronenko to escape.
Lavronenko manages to get back to half guard. Lavronenko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Roscrow pulls his head out easily. Roscrow is trying to control. Lavronenko wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Lavronenko is trying to maintain the position but Roscrow is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Lavronenko manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Lavronenko keeping moving, preventing Roscrow from controlling successfully. Roscrow scoring with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Roman Lavronenko will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Roscrow lands with a hook. Lavronenko tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Roscrow ducks under a wild hook from Lavronenko. Roscrow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lavronenko. Roscrow throws a leg kick but Lavronenko moved away. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lavronenko! But no joy. Lavronenko throws a lazy right hand but Roscrow sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Roscrow will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Roscrow takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Roscrow lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Roscrow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lavronenko works the jab nicely. Perry Roscrow is winning the standup battle so far. Lavronenko's jab looks to have found its range, popping Roscrow under the eye.
Perry Roscrow's cut is getting worse. Roscrow misses with a series of wild punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roscrow ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lavronenko walks into a straight right hand from Roscrow. Roscrow shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Roscrow was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Roscrow in side control lands a decent elbow. Roscrow looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Lavronenko manages to get back to half guard. Roscrow lands with a punch from half guard. Lavronenko wants to control but Roscrow is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lavronenko wants to improve his position but Roscrow is controlling well.
Roscrow is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lavronenko doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Roscrow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lavronenko looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lavronenko wants to get back to full guard. Lavronenko moves into full guard.
Roscrow is sitting in close to Lavronenko's body. Lavronenko has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Roscrow is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Roscrow is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Lavronenko.
