Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Letang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Letang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor Davis! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left lands for Davis. Letang wants to clinch up but Davis keeps it at a distance. Letang moves into the clinch. Letang is stalling here.
Letang lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Davis. Letang slows down the pace here.
Davis working hard to break the clinch. Letang manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Letang looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davis looking to pass the guard. Davis decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis tries to bum rush Letang with a series of wild strikes but Letang uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Letang seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Letang drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Letang in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davis is trying to control Letang's posture but Letang avoids it. Letang cracks Davis with an elbow. That is naaassty. Davis avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Letang. Davis dodges the ground and pound from Letang. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth. Davis is looking for a sweep. Davis is working to avoid the ground and pound but Letang connects with a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Letang trying to control the action but Davis is working from the bottom. Davis is trying to get back to half guard. Letang scoring with punches from side control. Davis is not content to let Letang control the position. Letang thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Letang scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Davis to see if he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. An elbow from Letang crashes against the mat.
Letang throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Davis is looking for a sweep. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Letang cracks Davis with an elbow. That is naaassty. Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Letang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. You can see the frustration on Davis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Letang misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

No, Davis has escaped the position, nice work there. Letang lands some shots froms side control. Letang is looking to take a break and control but Davis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Letang working the head and body with strikes. Letang has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Davis is working to avoid the ground and pound but Letang connects with a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Letang missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Letang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Letang chips away with some ground and pound. Davis has momentary wrist control but Letang slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Letang pushes down on Davis's leg and manages to get into half guard. Nice strikes from Letang there. Letang throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Davis is defending against the submission attempts here by Letang.
Davis tries to get to full guard but Letang has control of the leg. Davis keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Davis avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Letang. Letang is working for a submission of some sort.
Davis is refusing to be controlled, as Letang sits in half guard. Pierre Letang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Letang seems to be working for a kimura but Davis defends the submission attempt. Davis tries to roll over but Letang keeps him under control. Letang definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Davis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Letang working Davis over with strikes. Davis is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Letang scores with a couple of nice shots.

Davis is rocked! Davis taking some punishment here, with Letang in his half guard. Davis is still in real trouble! Can Letang finish him? Letang is working for a submission of some sort.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Letang creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Letang lands a right hand. Letang avoiding damage.

Letang has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Davis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Davis is trying to break the clinch but Letang is controlling him. Letang drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Davis throws a combination. Letang tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Davis misses with a few strikes there.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Letang looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Davis can't hide his disappointment, as Letang celebrates the victory.
