Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shantaram Bloodlust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shantaram Bloodlust! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Diego Carlos! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlos takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Carlos closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bloodlust quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carlos is trying to work for a kimura but Bloodlust is defending well.
Bloodlust is defending against the submission attempts here by Carlos.
Bloodlust wants to control but Carlos is keeping busy.
Carlos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bloodlust tries to get to full guard but Carlos has control of the leg. Carlos is trying to work for a kimura but Bloodlust is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bloodlust manages to get to full guard.
Carlos slips nicely into half guard. Bloodlust trying to control from the bottom.
Carlos is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bloodlust has managed to free his arm - good work. Carlos wants to work for an arm triangle but Bloodlust is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bloodlust has his foot on Carlos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carlos works his way back into a safe position though. Carlos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bloodlust has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carlos has managed to get both his arms back between Bloodlust's legs - danger averted. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Carlos wants to control from the top but Bloodlust keeps moving. Carlos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Carlos is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bloodlust is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bloodlust has escaped and now he's on top! Bloodlust trying to control the position from guard on top but Carlos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carlos pulls Bloodlust in close to his closed guard and prevents Bloodlust from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlos keeping moving, preventing Bloodlust from controlling successfully.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Bloodlust shoots in for a takedown but Carlos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Carlos drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bloodlust defends it well. Bloodlust is trying hard to land a takedown here. Carlos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Bloodlust throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carlos's waist but Carlos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bloodlust off to one side. And Carlos tries to counter it with a takedown but Bloodlust pushes his down on his head and steps out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shantaram Bloodlust. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight moves into the clinch position. Carlos dodges an elbow strike from Bloodlust.
Bloodlust tries to throw a body punch but Carlos avoids it by throwing Bloodlust back against the cage. Carlos fails to pull guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlos has Bloodlust pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Carlos pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bloodlust tumbling to the mat - Carlos dives into Bloodlust's guard. Carlos looking to sit in guard and control but Bloodlust gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bloodlust being controlled here momentarily. Carlos preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bloodlust looking to pass the guard. Bloodlust trying to control but Carlos is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Carlos dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bloodlust misses with a takedown and Carlos counters with a shoot takedown. Bloodlust fights it but they end up in guard. Carlos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bloodlust dives on top into guard. Bloodlust looking to pass the guard. Bloodlust gets to his feet - Carlos follows without any prompting. The fight moves into the clinch position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A right hook to the body lands for Bloodlust.
Carlos is trying to pull guard but Bloodlust has him pressed against the cage. Carlos is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bloodlust to keep the fight standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlos gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Carlos is breathing heavily. Bloodlust regains full guard. Nicely done. Carlos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bloodlust looking for a sweep. Not yet Bloodlust, not yet. Bloodlust controls Carlos momentarily but Carlos frees himself. Bloodlust is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Carlos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bloodlust swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bloodlust working for a triangle but Carlos defends it easily.
Carlos controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Carlos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bloodlust dives on top into guard. Bloodlust throws an elbow that misses. Carlos uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bloodlust's guard. Nice move by Carlos! Bloodlust trying to keep a closed guard but Carlos is proving a slippery customer.
Carlos not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlos wants to control from the top but Bloodlust keeps moving. Carlos looking to sit in guard and control but Bloodlust gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bloodlust has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carlos is proving hard to escape from. Carlos is controlling Bloodlust's posture.

Bloodlust is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Carlos tries to pass to full mount but Bloodlust defends it. Carlos is working for a kimura but Bloodlust is defending it quite comfortably.
Carlos is working for a submission of some sort.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Carlos prevents Bloodlust from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Carlos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Carlos passes Bloodlust's left leg - he's now in half guard. Bloodlust has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carlos is working away from the top position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bloodlust can't find room to land a body shot as Carlos controls the action.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Bloodlust. Carlos fails to pull guard.
Carlos's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Carlos gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bloodlust.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shantaram Bloodlust. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carlos is trying to drag Bloodlust to the mat but Bloodlust just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Bloodlust stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bloodlust comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Bloodlust working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Bloodlust looking to slow down the pace here. Bloodlust scores with a shoulder strike. Bloodlust stalling in the clinch but Carlos improves position. Bloodlust tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Bloodlust wants a takedown but no success here.
Carlos tries to pull guard but Bloodlust holds him up against the cage and eventually Carlos drops back down to his feet.

Bloodlust can't fight it off and eventually Carlos manages to take the fight to the floor. Bloodlust looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Shantaram Bloodlust showed his dominance in that final round. I think Carlos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
