The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gideon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Karlin tries to buck Gideon off but Gideon is having none of it.
Karlin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gideon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Gideon content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Gideon wants to stand up but Karlin has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Karlin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gideon pulls his head out easily.
Gideon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Karlin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gideon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Karlin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Karlin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gideon escapes and throws Karlin's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Karlin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Karlin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Gideon has hold of Karlin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Karlin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Oliver Gideon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Oliver Gideon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gideon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
