The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez stalks Mayflower and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mayflower's face. Mayflower staggers backwards, shaken.
Gonzalez shoots in and gets a takedown into Mayflower's guard.
Gonzalez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Gonzalez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mayflower seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
