The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matroskin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Muse, pushing him back against the cage.
Matroskin has hold of one of Muse's legs. Muse is fighting the takedown attempt but Matroskin gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Muse is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Muse is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Matroskin blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Matroskin lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Muse struggles to land a body shot inside as Matroskin controls his hands.
Matroskin lands a right hand.
Matroskin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Muse backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Matroskin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Muse lands a nice hook to Matroskin's body. Matroskin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Matroskin misses with a looping right.
Matroskin takes a swing at Muse's ribcage but misses.
Muse swings for the body but Matroskin moves out of range.
Matroskin seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Matroskin closes the distance but Muse moves to the side
and Muse counters with a slapping leg kick.

Matroskin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Muse.
Mike Muse is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Muse, right into the meat.
Muse takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Matroskin forces Muse back against the cage and clinches.
Muse has had enough of the clinch but Matroskin keeps him there for the moment.
A body shot lands from Matroskin.
A nice right hand lands inside from Matroskin.
Muse scores with a knee to the head.
Matroskin lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Muse tries to work over Matroskin's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Muse tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Matroskin avoids it.
Muse takes a shot to the head.
Matroskin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Muse regains guard immediately.
Muse has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Matroskin has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head punch on the inside from Muse fails to land.
Muse looking to throw knees to the head but Matroskin is blocking nicely.
Matroskin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Muse's elbow.
Matroskin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Muses head.
Muse connects with a nasty looking knee right to Matroskin's face.
Matroskin is working Muse over against the cage.
Matroskin lands a nice uppercut.
Matroskin lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Muse.

Matroskin lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Muse is still on wobbly legs! Can Matroskin finish him?
Matroskin lands a big right hand that drops Muse! The killer instinct kicks in and Matroskin finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Matroskin!

The Cat Matroskin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
