13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Silva! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bullard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Silva fails with a takedown attempt. Silva has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bullard is landing a low percentage of strikes. Bullard tries to clinch but fails miserably and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Silva drops back for a leg! He's simply no match for Silva on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bullard is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bullard is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva's corner is telling him to maintain position. Silva stops Bullard from standing up. Silva drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Silva seems to have locked his on tight now - Bullard screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Silva, as he picks up the win!
