The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard shoots for a double leg takedown but Bararu sprawls well. He's pushed Howard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bararu throws a jab but it's blocked by Howard.
Howard pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bararu back to the cage. Howard follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Howard.
Howard misses with a double jab.
Howard throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bararu.
Bararu shoots for a takedown but Howard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bararu wants to hold on but Howard pushes him away.
Bararu is desperately trying to improve his position but Howard has a good base and remains in mount.
Howard tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
