Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lemuel Bonner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin Robertson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Robertson!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Robertson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Robertson lands with a nice body kick.

Robertson scores with a takedown into Bonner's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Robertson's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bonner wants to sweep but no luck.
Robertson is looking to work some ground and pound but Bonner has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bonner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Robertson defends well.

Robertson wants to stand but Bonner is controlling his posture from full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bonner manages to break the clinch.

Robertson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Robertson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Robertson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Robertson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bonner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bonner is pulling down on Robertson's head. It's preventing any offense from Robertson, at least for the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Robertson scores with a jab to the head.
Bonner takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bonner manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Robertson on his heels. He'll look to pass Robertson's guard now, I'm sure.

Robertson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bonner's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bonner is trying to control the position but Robertson postures up.
Robertson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Robertson wants to stand but Bonner has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Bonner pulls Robertson in close to his closed guard and prevents Robertson from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Robertson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Robertson wants to control from the top but Bonner keeps moving.

Bonner darts in and clinches Robertson up against the cage.

Robertson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bonner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Robertson tries to free his leg and advance position but Bonner is retaining full guard.

Bonner lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Martin Robertson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Robertson tries to close the distance and clinch but Bonner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Robertson rushes Bonner and presses him up against the cage.

Robertson lands a takedown into guard.
Robertson looking to sit in guard and control but Bonner gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bonner is working Robertson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bonner is staying active underneath Robertson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Bonner shoots for a takedown but Robertson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Robertson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
