Mariel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Jefferson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Mariel shoots in for a double leg but Jefferson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oooooh!!! Jefferson has knocked Mariel down with a huge combo! Jefferson steps away and waves a wobbly Mariel back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Whack! Jefferson lands a heavy head kick that drops Mariel. The ref tackles Jefferson to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Mariel was done.
