Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Wates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Body Workout. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wates closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Johnson quickly recovers to half guard.
Wates sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Wates postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Johnson to stand up.
Johnson waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Wates. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Wates to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Johnson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wates is on top in guard.
Wates is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Wates manages to pass to side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Wates content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wates swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Wates has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wates should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Johnson prevents the takedown attempt.
Johnson wants to break free but Wates has control.
Johnson manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Johnson lands a big shot that drops Wates! Can he finish him?
It looks like Harry Wates has been cut.
Wates working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Johnson.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Wates holds on and takes a little breather.
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wates on the ground.
Johnson postures up in Wates's guard and throws a big left but Wates blocks it.
Wates manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.
Wates controls from within his opponent's guard.
Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wates is controlling him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson connects with a jab.
OH! Wates has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Johnson smells blood and charges in for the finish! Johnson unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Wates sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Anthony Johnson!
Anthony Johnson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
