Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JD Wildstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wildstein comes to the cage accompanied by Bring It On. On his way into the cage it seems that JD Wildstein has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily JD Wildstein seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tatsuya Kawajiri! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wildstein throws a body kick despite being completely out of range enabling Kawajiri to counter with a crisp jab. Kawajiri on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Wildstein clobbers Kawajiri with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Wildstein bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kawajiri misses with a body shot.
Wildstein looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. JD Wildstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wildstein crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kawajiri - the referee stops the clock and Wildstein gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kawajiri. Wildstein manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Kawajiri fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kawajiri sprawls well initially but Wildstein persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kawajiri is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wildstein will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wildstein is looking to pass Kawajiri's guard but actually Kawajiri recovers to full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kawajiri holds on and takes a little breather. Kawajiri keeping moving, preventing Wildstein from controlling successfully. That's three minutes gone in the round. Wildstein throws a push kick but Kawajiri slaps the foot to one side. Kawajiri thows a left - swing and a miss! Wildstein connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kawajiri tries to move into range but Wildstein moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Kawajiri misses with a lunging right hand
and Wildstein counters with a good, hard body kick but Kawajiri shrugs it off. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kawajiri.

It seemed like Kawajiri was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kawajiri chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wildstein can pounce on him.
A lazy left from Kawajiri finds it's target. Kawajiri misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice defenses there by Wildstein. Tatsuya Kawajiri is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Wildstein is looking to clinch. Wildstein ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kawajiri lands with a kick to the temple. Wildstein shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Wildstein throws a low kick but Kawajiri avoids it. Kawajiri slips under a jab. Kawajiri stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wildstein. Wildstein scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kawajiri is rocked! Kawajiri digs a good hook to Wildstein's body.
Kawajiri is still on wobbly legs! Can Wildstein finish him? Kawajiri looks for the body kick but Wildstein saw that one coming. Wildstein jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to JD Wildstein. I think Kawajiri has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
