Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toshi Matoshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacque Schtrappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matoshin's entrance music is Mortal Kombat theme. A fine choice. Schtrappe has chosen Nitzer Ebb - Violent Playground as his entrance music. Toshi Matoshin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jacque Schtrappe's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Toshi Matoshin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jacque Schtrappe!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schtrappe attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Matoshin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Schtrappe defends well and Matoshin ends up having to push Schtrappe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
We've been informed that Schtrappe has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Matoshin is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Granite Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Matoshin is trying to trip Schtrappe. He has hold of a leg but Schtrappe is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Matoshin persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Matoshin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schtrappe swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Matoshin stands and throws Schtrappe's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Toshi Matoshin will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Matoshin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Toshi Matoshin.
I think Matoshin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
