Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mean Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mean Green has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Floyd Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mean Green!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green gets a double leg takedown into Sanchez's guard.
Green stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sanchez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Green sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sanchez's guard.
Green throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sanchez is trying to get back to full guard.

Green is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez trying to hold on to Green's head to control him but Green postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Green missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Green shoots in and gets a takedown into Sanchez's guard.
Green sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sanchez's guard.

Sanchez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sanchez tries to roll over but Green keeps him under control.
Green perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Sanchez tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg.
Green passes to full mount!
Poor strikes thrown by Green there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Green thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Sanchez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Green controlling the position easily from mount.

Green is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sanchez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sanchez!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sanchez with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sanchez shoots in but no luck this time.
Sanchez wants to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sanchez enables Green to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sanchez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Green looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mean Green dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Green drives through with a takedown into guard.
Green pushing down on Sanchez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Green has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Green wants to pass to mount but Sanchez is defending the position.
Green is controlling the pace.
Green is thwarting Sanchez's attempts to control the position.

Green tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sanchez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Green perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Green gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Sanchez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Green decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Green tried to score with a low kick but Sanchez checks it.
Green misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sanchez seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Sanchez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Green did well to prevent Sanchez getting side control.

Green manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Sanchez keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Green gets control of Sanchez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Green will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Mean Green has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sanchez throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green is pulling down on Sanchez's head. It's preventing any offense from Sanchez, at least for the moment.
Green will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Green is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sanchez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Sanchez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Green has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sanchez has managed to get both his arms back between Green's legs - danger averted.
Green is adopting a defensive guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Sanchez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Green swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Green is trying to counter with his kicks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Green bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sanchez's head backwards.
Sanchez doesn't manage to clinch there - Green circles away.
Green with the counter takedown but Sanchez avoids it easily.
Sanchez tries to clinch up
and Green counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Green shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sanchez is trying to defend but Green finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Green moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Sanchez.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Green wants to control for a moment but Sanchez uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mean Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Sanchez has his foot on Green's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Green works his way back into a safe position though.
Green is looking to work some ground and pound but Sanchez has wrist control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sanchez throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Green looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Green is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Sanchez looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Green pushes past his half guard into mount!

Poor strikes thrown by Green there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Green swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sanchez is now in Green's guard. A big mistake from Green there, giving up the dominant position!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Green wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is defending well.
Green trying to control the pace.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sanchez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sanchez is trying to control but can't.

Green seems to be working for a kimura but Sanchez defends the submission attempt.

Green stands up from half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mean Green comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Green has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
