Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Alekseev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shephard kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is You All Everybody. The crowd seem to be enjoying Alekseev's choice of entrance music: Imperium. Jack Shephard could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Oleg Alekseev's chin.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alekseev shoots for a double leg takedown but Shephard sprawls well. He's pushed Alekseev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Alekseev closes the distance and clinches up with Shephard, looking for a takedown. Alekseev pushes Shephard against the cage but Shephard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shephard on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like Jack Shephard has been cut.
Shephard takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Donk. Alekseev catches Shephard right on the button with a cross.
Shephard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jack Shephard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Alekseev.
Shephard displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alekseev.
Alekseev bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shephard works the jab nicely.

Alekseev takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Alekseev throws a big shot that misses.
Alekseev shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shephard sprawls well. Shephard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alekseev gets slowly back to his feet.
It looked like Shephard was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Alekseev.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shephard's jab looks to have found its range, popping Alekseev under the eye.
Alekseev tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Shephard counters with a big left hand that crumples Alekseev! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Shephard!
