PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boros Monet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drunken Hermit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monet comes to the cage accompanied by Downstait - Open Your Eyes. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boros Monet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drunken Hermit!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monet throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Monet throws a head kick but Hermit moves out of range.
Hermit shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Monet as he avoids it easily.
Monet connects with a body shot that sends Hermit's belly button to the back.
Monet pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hermit shoots for a double leg takedown but Monet sprawls well. He's pushed Hermit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Monet lands a head kick. Hermit smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hermit will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Boros Monet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drunken Hermit.
Monet connects with a body shot.
Monet stuffs the takedown attempt from Hermit. Hermit gets slowly back to his feet.
Hermit shoots and misses
and Monet counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hermit tries for a takedown but Monet circles away easily
and Monet comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Hermit stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Monet is on him like rabid pit bull! Hermit slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boros Monet!
Boros Monet spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
