Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Bird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deelon Radd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danny Bird has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Bird! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Deelon Radd! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Radd's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Radd duly obliges.
It looks like Danny Bird has been cut. Bird swats away the attempt to clinch by Radd. Radd shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Radd was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Radd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Radd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Radd decides to stand back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bird shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Radd counters by clinching up. Bird really is a fat lump. Radd pulls Bird into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Radd looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bird got a little sloppy there for a moment and Radd has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bird has managed to get both his arms back between Radd's legs - danger averted. Bird tries to stand but Radd is controlling from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Radd is on top in guard.
Bird being controlled here, momentarily. Radd postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bird is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Radd, into his guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bird avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bird decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A combination from Radd does no damage. Bird slips a jab and a cross from Radd.
Radd manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bird on his heels. He'll look to pass Bird's guard now, I'm sure. Bird wants to sweep but no luck. Bird throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Radd stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Radd tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bird was well out of range. Poor timing from Radd. Radd digs a good hook to Bird's body.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Bird enables Radd to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bird manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Radd looks winded! Bird looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Radd stands up from Bird's guard - Radd perhaps looking for a knockout. Radd avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bird tries to sprawl but Radd drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Radd is looking to advance position but Bird won't allow it. Bird is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bird makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bird. Radd stays in close to Bird's body and controls the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Radd drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bird dives on top into guard. Bird might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Radd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deelon Radd dominated that round. The cut man is working on Danny Bird's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bird gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Radd trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Radd controlling from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bird working for submissions but it's allowed Radd to get to half guard.
Bird is in trouble now - Radd has advanced to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bird is looking to get to half guard. Radd content just to control the position here. Radd looking to ground and pound but Bird is blocking nicely. Radd is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bird has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bird! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bird accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Radd fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bird to the ground. Radd is now in Bird's guard. Bird is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bird can't keep his opponent in guard - Radd advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bird tries to roll over but Radd keeps him under control. Radd blocks the strikes from Bird.
Radd with the ground and pound but Bird uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bird wants to sweep here but Radd controlling him for the moment. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Radd. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Radd wants to control from the top but Bird keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Radd fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bird sprawls well initially but Radd persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Radd wants to pass to mount but Bird is defending the position. Radd sitting and controlling from the half guard. Bird keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Radd is looking to stall here but Bird recovers full guard. Radd advances to half guard. Bird is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Radd pulls his head out easily. Deelon Radd has got the better of the ground game so far. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Radd in particular looking to stall. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Radd decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Bird fails with a takedown attempt. Radd tries to counter by closing the distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Deelon Radd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Danny Bird's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Radd slows the pace down. Radd decides to take the fight back to the feet. Radd looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Radd takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bird is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Radd defends well. Radd has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Radd trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Radd controlling from the top position. Radd stopping the sweep attempt from Bird.

And that's the end of the fight! Deelon Radd comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Radd has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
