The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Katasonov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Vladimirovich works over Katasonov's head and body with a nice combination.

Vladimirovich throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Katasonov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Vladimirovich is in Katasonov's guard.
Vladimirovich cracks Katasonov with a solid left hand.
Vladimirovich postures up and lands a big shot to Katasonov's brow.
Katasonov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Vladimirovich is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vladimirovich fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Vladimirovich has hold of Katasonov's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Katasonov seems comfortable defending it but Vladimirovich has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Katasonov is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Katasonov is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Vladimirovich couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Sergey Katasonov was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll train even harder and come back to win!'.
