Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Laurel Aitken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Laurel Aitken has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Laurel Aitken! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Seth Brown! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aitken throws an overhand right that lands on Brown's shoulder, as Brown tries to avoid the shot. An inside leg kick lands from Brown. Brown wants to clinch up but Aitken keeps it at a distance. Brown avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Aitken swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brown slips under a jab. Brown tries to clinch but Aitken moves out of range. Brown steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Aitken. A telegraphed right hand from Aitken misses the target. Brown fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Aitken.
Brown shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Aitken is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown stopping the sweep attempt from Aitken. Aitken has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though. Aitken is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brown trying to control but Aitken is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aitken looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Brown passes into half guard.
Aitken is breathing heavily. Brown stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Aitken to get to his feet. Brown doesn't manage to clinch there - Aitken circles away.
Aitken bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brown's head backwards. Aitken throws an overhand right that lands on Brown's shoulder, as Brown tries to avoid the shot. Brown staying out of range there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown tries to clinch but Aitken is having none of it. Brown fails with a takedown attempt. Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Aitken sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Laurel Aitken has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seth Brown. A jab-cross combination lands for Aitken and sends Brown crashing to the mat! Aitken follows him down to the mat - Brown regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Brown is rocked!
It looks like Seth Brown has been cut. Aitken in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Brown tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Aitken!
