Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Snir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberto Douglatto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Snir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alberto Douglatto!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglatto stuffs the takedown.

Douglatto drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Douglatto trying to stand up but can't free himself from Snir's guard.
Snir controls Douglatto momentarily but Douglatto frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Douglatto is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Snir is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Snir has escaped and now he's on top!
Snir wants to control from the top but Douglatto keeps moving.

Douglatto wants to stand and escape but Snir is having none of it.

Douglatto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Snir wants to control from the top but Douglatto keeps moving.
Douglatto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Douglatto tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Douglatto wants to stand but Snir is controlling the position.
Snir passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Douglatto tries to bench press Snir off him but Snir keeps the position.
Snir has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Douglatto sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Douglatto is looking to improve his position.

Snir is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Snir lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Douglatto wants to get back to full guard.
Snir seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Douglatto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Douglatto tries to kick Snir off in order to stand up. Snir Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Douglatto looks gassed!
Snir advances to mount.
Douglatto is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snir trying to control but Douglatto is having none of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Douglatto is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Snir controlling from the full mount.
Snir trying to control but Douglatto is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Snir cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Snir dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Douglatto feints and as Snir raises his hands in defense, Douglatto changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Douglatto wants to stand and escape but instead Snir has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Snir won't allow Douglatto to sweep him here.
Douglatto wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Snir works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Snir is just content to waste time from the top position. Douglatto takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Snir slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Douglatto.
Douglatto won't allow Snir to pass to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Douglatto wants to control but Snir is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Douglatto is looking to improve his position.
Snir prevents Douglatto from standing back up.
Snir with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Douglatto wants to get back to his feet.
Douglatto should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Snir is trying to work for a kimura but Douglatto is defending well.

Snir looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Douglatto tries for a takedown but Snir circles away easily

and Snir counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Snir moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Douglatto.
Douglatto is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Snir tries to move into full mount but can't pass Douglatto's legs.
Snir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Douglatto keeps working.

Snir tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Snir has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Douglatto is looking for a sweep.
Douglatto wants to control but Snir postures up.
Douglatto tries to improve position but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Douglatto can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Snir has his takedown stuffed

and Douglatto moves into the clinch.

Douglatto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick misses from Douglatto.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Snir shoots and misses
and Douglatto counters with a left and a right that stings Snir.
Frank Snir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Snir gets a takedown into half guard.
Snir seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Douglatto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Snir wants to pass the guard but Douglatto is defending well.
Douglatto is looking for a sweep. Snir is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Snir dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Douglatto darts in and clinches Snir up against the cage.
Douglatto tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Snir smiles and moves away.
Douglatto stuffs the takedown attempt from Snir. Snir gets slowly back to his feet.

Snir remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Douglatto manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Douglatto connects with a nice short shot to Snir's temple.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Snir wants to control but Douglatto is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Douglatto wants to stand up but Snir has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Douglatto prevents Snir from improving his position.
Snir on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Douglatto tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Snir.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are battling for position here. Snir manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Douglatto makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Snir has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Douglatto can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Douglatto tries to free his leg and advance position but Snir is retaining full guard.
Snir looking to hit a scissor sweep but Douglatto is one step ahead there.

Douglatto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Snir is keeping the position for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Douglatto bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Snir sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Douglatto wants to get back to his feet.
Douglatto has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Snir works to full guard.

Alberto Douglatto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Frank Snir is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Frank Snir overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Douglatto's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frank Snir.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Snir, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
