Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shaka KaSolomon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antti Ahma! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! KaSolomon tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ahma counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Shaka KaSolomon has been cut. Ahma takes the fight into the clinch. KaSolomon is trying to pull guard but Ahma turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. KaSolomon wants the takedown. Ahma is fighting it off but KaSolomon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ahma's guard against the cage. Ahma pushes KaSolomon off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. KaSolomon misses with a hook to the body
and Ahma counters with a straight right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ahma stuffs the takedown attempt from KaSolomon. KaSolomon gets slowly back to his feet. KaSolomon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. KaSolomon wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Nice takedown defense from Ahma. No joy for KaSolomon on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shaka KaSolomon. That's going to take a lot out of him. KaSolomon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ahma sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. KaSolomon swings for the body but Ahma moves out of range.
Ahma gets tackled into the cage by KaSolomon. KaSolomon maintains the clinch. KaSolomon is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ahma is keeping busy. Ahma leaning against his opponent.
I was talking to KaSolomon's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ahma taking a breather. KaSolomon tries to pull guard but Ahma holds him up against the cage and eventually KaSolomon drops back down to his feet.

Ahma is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. KaSolomon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ahma is one step ahead there. KaSolomon is trying to control the position but Ahma postures up. KaSolomon looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Ahma is defending well. KaSolomon quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Ahma has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! KaSolomon celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shaka KaSolomon! Shaka KaSolomon got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
