Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Urjh Castle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ksdkn sfds! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! sfds shoots in for a double leg but Castle sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. sfds moves out of range as Castle throws a body kick.
Castle tries for a takedown but sfds sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. sfds circles away from the clinch attempt.
sfds tries for a takedown but Castle circles away easily and Castle counters with a single leg into guard. sfds didn't expect that. Castle postures up.
Castle stands up and waves to sfds to follow him. sfds shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Castle counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for sfds! Urjh Castle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ksdkn sfds. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Castle takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Castle lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Castle looking to control but sfds is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Castle with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castle looking to finish sfds with some ground and pound. This is bad for sfds! sfds working to try and regain half guard.
Castle lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
sfds tries to lock up and control but Castle gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Castle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. sfds has left one of his arms exposed and Castle doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. sfds screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
