The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Barcos.
Hanolla feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barcoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Barcos has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Midnight MMA in the buildup to the fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nicolas Barcos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hanolla throws a leg kick which misses Barcos's front leg but catches the back leg as Barcos tries to avoid it.
Barcos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hanolla pinned against the cage. Hanolla gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Barcos doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hanolla counters with a straight right hand.
Hanolla lands an overhand right.
Hanolla lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Barcos shoots in looking for a takedown but Hanolla manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Barcos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Hanolla makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Hanolla throws a leg kick which misses Barcos's front leg but catches the back leg as Barcos tries to avoid it.
Barcos has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hanolla finds it's way round the side to connect with Barcos's head.

Hanolla lands a leg kick that knocks Barcos off balance momentarily.
Oh Barcos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barcos tries for a takedown but Hanolla circles away easily
and Hanolla counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barcos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Barcos seems to have got his legs back now.
Hanolla fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Barcos has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hanolla lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Barcos at a distance.
Barcos drops his hands momentarily and Hanolla takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Nicolas Barcos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barcos drops his hands for a split second and Hanolla immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Barcos face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Hanolla follows up with a right hand that knocks Barcos into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
