Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hillman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Casey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carl Casey will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Hillman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Casey! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hillman has Casey up against the cage in a clinch.
Casey wants to stall.
Casey breaks the clinch.
Hillman shoots in looking for a takedown but Casey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hillman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hillman tries to clinch but Casey moves out of range. Casey lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Hillman shoots in for a double leg but Casey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hillman just misses with a punch to the body.
Casey tries to counter with a clinch but Hillman shakes him off and moves away. Hillman has closed the distance and engaged Casey in a clinch.
Hillman wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Hillman. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hillman pulls guard successfully.
Hillman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hillman pulls Casey in close to his closed guard and prevents Casey from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hillman lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Hillman postures up.
Casey wants to stand up but Hillman is controlling him. Casey has his foot on Hillman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hillman works his way back into a safe position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Casey trying to control the position.
Hillman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hillman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Casey for as long as he can get away with. Casey has Hillman pulled in close to control his posture. Casey keeping moving, preventing Hillman from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Casey keeping full guard, as Hillman tries to pass. Casey being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Casey throws a head kick that misses. Casey tries for a takedown but Hillman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Casey misses with a head kick.
Casey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Casey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Casey wants it to stay on the feet. Hillman has a takedown stuffed. Hillman closes the distance and pushes Casey back into the cage. Casey on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Hillman is breathing heavily. Casey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. No luck with that takedown attempt from Casey. Hillman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hillman lands in his opponent's guard. Casey is looking to stand back up but Hillman counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Casey. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Casey fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jack Hillman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Good work by Casey as he checks the leg kick. Casey shoots in for a takedown but Hillman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hillman went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Casey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hillman is trying to defend but Casey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Casey throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hillman to regain full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Casey won't allow Hillman to get back to his feet. Casey is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Casey with a flurry of punches that miss. Casey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hillman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Casey connects with a couple of short punches. Casey preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hillman is working hard here to advance position. Jack Hillman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Casey trying to control but Hillman is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Casey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hillman pinned against the cage. Hillman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jack Hillman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carl Casey. Casey lands a body shot.

Hillman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Casey's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hillman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hillman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Casey lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Hillman wants to sweep here but Casey controlling him for the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hillman pulls Casey in close to prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carl Casey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Nice takedown defense from Hillman. No joy for Casey on that attempt. Casey scores with a takedown into Hillman's guard. Hillman wants to control the position but Casey says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Casey passes to full mount! Casey working away from the top, dropping strikes. That's one minute gone in the round. Casey throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hillman because Casey loaded up on that one. Casey tries to control but Hillman wriggling away. Hillman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Casey is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Hillman reverses the position - he's now on top in Casey's guard. Hillman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hillman pushing down on Casey's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Casey wants to control but Hillman is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hillman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hillman working the head and body with strikes. Casey wants to improve his position but Hillman is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Casey trying to hold on to Hillman's head to control him but Hillman postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Casey wants to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Hillman. I think Hillman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
