Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cain Dos Anos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Hauge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin Hauge has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cain Dos Anos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Martin Hauge!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Anos checks a leg kick.
Hauge is looking to clinch.
Hauge fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hauge closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dos Anos circles away.

Dos Anos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hauge was covering up waiting for the punch and Dos Anos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hauge is looking to stand up but Dos Anos isn't so interested in that idea.
Dos Anos postures up in Hauge's guard and throws a big left but Hauge blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dos Anos makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Dos Anos is working Hauge over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hauge is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hauge is looking for a sweep. Dos Anos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hauge wants to counter with a clinch but Dos Anos pushes him away.
Dos Anos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hauge fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Dos Anos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hauge manages to avoid it.
Hauge tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dos Anos swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hauge moves forwards but Dos Anos connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Dos Anos uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hauge showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dos Anos.

Dos Anos takes a swing at Hauge's ribcage but misses.
Hauge looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dos Anos is fending him off so far but Hauge persists. Nope, Dos Anos circles away and we're back to standing.
Cain Dos Anos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Hauge.

Hauge takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Dos Anos misses with a combination

and Hauge counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hauge prevents a body shot from Dos Anos.
A frustrated look appears on Dos Anos's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hauge is trying to pull guard but Dos Anos has him pressed against the cage.

Hauge breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dos Anos lands a jab to Hauge's midsection.
Hauge throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Dos Anos throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hauge shoots in but no luck this time.

Hauge tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dos Anos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hauge somewhat.
Hauge is breathing heavily.
Hauge avoids the body shot from Dos Anos.
Dos Anos throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hauge.
Hauge doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dos Anos counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Hauge darts in looking for a takedown but Dos Anos gets double underhooks and turns Hauge into the cage.
Dos Anos throws a leg kick but Hauge sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Dos Anos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hauge can do to turn this around?

Dos Anos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hauge to the mat! Hauge manages to get full guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Hauge manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Dos Anos shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hauge manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Hauge is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dos Anos works over Hauge with some ground and pound from guard.
Hauge has momentary wrist control but Dos Anos slips an elbow through the middle.
Dos Anos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dos Anos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dos Anos seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hauge for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dos Anos.
Dos Anos moves away from the strike by Hauge.
Hauge shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dos Anos is looking to wear down Hauge with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Hauge changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dos Anos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Dos Anos is looking to get back to his feet here but Hauge is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dos Anos's back.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dos Anos connects with a nice short shot to Hauge's temple.

Cain Dos Anos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hauge takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Dos Anos is taking a breather. Hauge says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dos Anos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
