Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kron Vieira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Teddy Dean! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dean gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Vieira trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Vieira with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Vieira controlling from the top position. Dean is looking for a triangle but Vieira pushes his legs off easily.
Dean looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vieira stands up over Dean, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Vieira is in close to Dean's body, working some short punches and elbows. Vieira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Vieira lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vieira! Vieira controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dean might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vieira haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Dean really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Vieira has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vieira controlling the position easily from mount.

Dean slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Dean wants to control but Vieira is keeping busy.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dean tries to get to full guard but Vieira has control of the leg.

Vieira is landing with some decent strikes but Dean is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dean is bucking up trying to escape but Vieira cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Teddy Dean has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kron Vieira is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A nice elbow there by Vieira.
