Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Logan Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Maynard!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Maynard - that will leave a mark!
Maynard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Harris blocks a low kick nicely.
Maynard throws a push kick but Harris slaps the foot to one side.
Maynard misses with a body kick.
Maynard pushes Harris away with a front kick.
Harris is breathing heavily.
Maynard lands with a cross.
A head kick misses from Maynard.
Maynard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maynard moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Maynard.
Harris tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Maynard misses with a head kick.
Maynard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Harris went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Harris takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Harris is rocked!
Harris gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Maynard points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Harris wakes up just in time to hear Maynard thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Peter Maynard!
