Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jabber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mordecai Wollsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Jabber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Mordecai Wollsey!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wollsey slips a straight right by Jabber.
Wollsey with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Wollsey tries to land a leg kick but Jabber saw it coming and moves away.
Jabber is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wollsey.

Jabber clinches with his opponent.
Jabber wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Wollsey breaks the clinch.
Wollsey keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jabber.
Jabber doesn't manage to clinch there - Wollsey circles away.
A countering left hand to the body from Wollsey misses.
Jabber tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jabber swinging wildly here.
Jabber looks to land a right hand but Wollsey moved out of range.
Wollsey appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wollsey misses with a looping right.
Jabber throws a counter high kick but Wollsey was just alert enough to avoid it.
Wollsey jabs at Jabber's body.
Wollsey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jabber throws a push kick but Wollsey slaps the foot to one side.
Jabber lands with a hook. Wollsey tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jabber jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wollsey throws a body punch but Jabber moves out of range.
Wollsey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jabber moves away.
A big left from Wollsey misses.
Wollsey is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jabber rather than just go for the knockout.
Jabber misses with a straight left.
Wollsey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jabber.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jabber.
Jabber slips under a jab from Wollsey.
Wollsey throws a lazy right hand but Jabber sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jabber swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A head kick misses from Jabber.
Jabber throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Jabber is looking to land body kicks.
Jabber tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wollsey swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jabber pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jim Jabber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wollsey loads up on a big right hand but Jabber slips the punch.
Wollsey throws a shot to the body.
Jabber lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wollsey at a distance.
Jim Jabber is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jabber thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wollsey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Jabber wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jabber darts in and clinches Wollsey up against the cage.

Wollsey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wollsey misses with a wild body shot.
A clash of legs there as Jabber blocks the low kick.
Jabber tries to clinch up but Wollsey circles away and keeps his distance.
Wollsey moves out of range as Jabber strikes.
A head kick misses from Wollsey.
Wollsey throws a leg kick
and Jabber counters with a nice uppercut.
Jabber throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Wollsey takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Wollsey throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Wollsey is looking to slow Jabber down with leg kicks.
Jabber tries to close the distance and clinch but Wollsey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jabber feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wollseys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've been told by Jabber's head coaches at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wollsey drops his hands momentarily and Jabber needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Wollsey just on the top of the head. Wollsey drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Wollsey - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jim Jabber!
During a confident post fight interview, Jim Jabber thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
