Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Papa Asbra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dasuki Gohei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Papa Asbra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dasuki Gohei!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asbra getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Gohei's coach down at Pitbull MMA London was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gohei's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Asbra slaps away a takedown attempt from Gohei, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gohei takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Asbra walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gohei checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Gohei drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Asbra defends it well.

Asbra clinches up with Gohei and pushes him back against the cage.
Asbra digs a right hand into Gohei's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Gohei's gas tank.

Gohei breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gohei walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Gohei closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Asbra is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gohei's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Gohei not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Asbra is trying to maintain the position but Gohei is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gohei lands a nice short elbow.

Asbra on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Asbra moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Asbra being controlled here, momentarily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gohei's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Asbra pulls Gohei in to control the position.
Gohei controls from within his opponent's guard.
Asbra will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gohei throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gohei lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Asbra is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Asbra being controlled here, momentarily.
Gohei is looking to work some ground and pound but Asbra has wrist control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Asbra preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Asbra with a jab.
Gohei shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Asbra but Asbra pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Asbra pushes Gohei up against the cage in a clinch.

A body shot lands from Gohei.
Asbra misses with a short punch on the inside.

Gohei has picked Asbra up - he's going for a ride! Gohei dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Gohei throws a strike but Asbra avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Gohei trying to control but Asbra is working from the bottom.
Gohei postures up in Asbra's guard and throws a big left but Asbra blocks it.
Asbra not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Asbra looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gohei is one step ahead there.
Gohei works over Asbra with some ground and pound from guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gohei tries to free his leg and advance position but Asbra is retaining full guard.
Gohei wants to control from the top but Asbra keeps moving.
Asbra trying to keep a closed guard but Gohei is proving a slippery customer.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gohei postures up and lands a big shot to Asbra's brow.
Asbra avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Asbra keeping moving, preventing Gohei from controlling successfully.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Asbra takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dasuki Gohei will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Gohei lands with a shot to the body.


It looks like Papa Asbra has been cut.
Asbra misses with a looping right.
It seemed like Gohei was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Gohei shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Gohei lands strikes from half guard.
Asbra is looking to control Gohei's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Asbra avoid being mounted?
Gohei has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Asbra taking some punishment here, with Gohei in his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gohei looking to sit in guard and control but Asbra gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gohei wants to sweep but no luck.
Gohei keeping moving, preventing Asbra from controlling successfully.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Gohei shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Asbra but Asbra pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Papa Asbra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dasuki Gohei.

and Asbra counters with a crisp right that sends Gohei to the canvas! Asbra follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
