Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Saint Nick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reyaldo Ramon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saint Nick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reyaldo Ramon! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramon swings and misses with a shot to the body enabling Nick to counter with a crisp jab. Ramon drives through and clinches with Nick against the cage.
Ramon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ramon lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Nick. Ramon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ramon rushes Nick and presses him up against the cage. Nick is trying to maintain a safe position but Ramon gets an underhook and turns Nick into the cage. Ramon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ramon misses with a few strikes there.
Ramon forces Nick back against the cage and clinches. Ramon gets through Nick's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Ramon tries to throw a body punch but Nick avoids it by throwing Ramon back against the cage. Nick wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Nick tries to circle away but Ramon has him pinned against the cage. Ramon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nick uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ramon has time to react.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nick ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ramon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nick lands a jab to the head.
Ramon looks winded! Nick throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ramon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A looping hook to the body misses from Ramon. Nick does a little dance to reset his feet. Nick lands a right hook to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ramon has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Nick fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ramon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Ramon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The fighters circle momentarily. Nick darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nick ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Ramon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Nick comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nick, as that shot connected.
Nick cracks Ramon with a hook to the temple - Ramon is on wobbly legs here! Nick swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Ramon falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Nick wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Saint Nick!
