Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emil Cervantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristaps Krumins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krumins has chosen Bad Boys Song as his entrance music. Kristaps Krumins has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Emil Cervantes's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Emil Cervantes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kristaps Krumins!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cervantes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Krumins.
Cervantes wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Krumins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cervantes sprawls well initially but Krumins persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Krumins drops an elbow to the side of Cervantes's head.
Cervantes is trying to control but can't.

Cervantes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Krumins pulls his head out easily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Krumins in particular looking to stall.

Krumins is looking for a kimura but Cervantes is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Krumins to get the leverage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cervantes wants to get back to his feet.
Cervantes is trying to control but can't.

Krumins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cervantes is fending him off so far but Krumins persists. Nope, Cervantes circles away and we're back to standing.
Emil Cervantes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kristaps Krumins.
Krumins closes the distance and clinches up with Cervantes, looking for a takedown. Krumins pushes Cervantes against the cage but Cervantes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Krumins dives in for a single leg takedown but Cervantes sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

As Krumins tries to get set, Cervantes tries to push him back and clinch up but Krumins manages to avoid the attempt.

Cervantes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Krumins quickly recovers to half guard.

Cervantes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Krumins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cervantes.

As Krumins looks to move away, Cervantes throws a big counter combo bu Krumins just gets out of the way.

Cervantes is looking to counter the offense by Krumins and move into the clinch.

Krumins shoots for a takedown but Cervantes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Krumins shoots in looking for a takedown. Cervantes tries to sprawl out of it but Krumins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cervantes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cervantes shoots for a takedown but Krumins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Cervantes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Krumins's guard.
Cervantes cracks Krumins with a solid left hand.
Cervantes works over Krumins with some ground and pound from guard.
Cervantes scoring with some ground and pound.
Krumins controls Cervantes momentarily but Cervantes frees himself.
Krumins throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Krumins shoots in for a takedown but Cervantes shows good takedown defense.

Krumins scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Cervantes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Krumins is working away from the top position though.
Krumins controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cervantes is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Krumins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Krumins's back!

Krumins just trying to survive but Cervantes is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Krumins is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Krumins trying to get back to his feet but Cervantes is in full control for now.

Cervantes looking to break Krumins's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Krumins remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Cervantes will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cervantes lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

You can see the frustration on Krumins's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Cervantes.
Krumins is taking damage to the body and head.
Krumins is trying to break free.
Cervantes punches Krumins on the ear.

Cervantes thows a strike but Krumins uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Krumins as he ends up in Cervantes 's guard!

Krumins is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Cervantes has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Krumins is looking to defend but Cervantes has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Krumins! Cervantes pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Krumins taps out and this one is all over!
