The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gotz tries to clinch but Sampson moves away
and Sampson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gotz swings for the body but Sampson moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Gotz. Those never looked like landing.
Sampson unleashes a big counter combination but Gotz bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Sampson moves out of range as Gotz throws a body kick.
Gotz misses with a double jab.
Sampson fails with a takedown attempt.

Gotz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Sampson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
