Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Bowie!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez lands a two punch combo.
Sanchez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sanchez tries for a takedown but Bowie sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sanchez throws a leg kick that misses.
Bowie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bowie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Sanchez gets caught flat footed, as Bowie shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bowie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bowie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dan Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bowie throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease.
Bowie chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sanchez can pounce on him.
Sanchez circles away from the clinch attempt.
No joy there for Sanchez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Bowie counters with a single leg into guard. Sanchez didn't expect that.

Bowie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sanchez to the mat! Sanchez manages to get full guard.

Sanchez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bowie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sanchez has Bowie in his guard.

Sanchez has his foot on Bowie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bowie works his way back into a safe position though.
Bowie should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sanchez is trying to control the position but Bowie postures up.

Sanchez controls Bowie momentarily but Bowie frees himself.
Bowie is pushing down on Sanchez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sanchez is fighting to maintain full guard but Bowie has managed to sneak the leg through.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bowie in particular looking to stall.
Sanchez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bowie is working away from the top position though.
