Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lane Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axel Santos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lane Perry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Axel Santos! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos rushes Perry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Perry goes for a takedown attempt but Santos pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Santos shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Perry manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santos wants to pass the guard but Perry is keeping the position. Perry really is a fat lump. Perry throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Santos throwing strikes but missing. Perry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perry is trying to keep Santos in close.
Perry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Santos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perry looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Santos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Perry has his foot on Santos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Santos works his way back into a safe position though. Perry utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos's corner is telling him to maintain position. Perry keeping moving, preventing Santos from controlling successfully. Santos stopping the sweep attempt from Perry. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Santos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Perry is keeping the position for now.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Santos throws a wild body kick that Perry sees coming a mile off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Perry drives through and clinches with Santos against the cage.
Santos unloads a knee to the mid-section. Santos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Perry tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Perry forces Santos back against the cage and clinches. Santos breaks the clinch.
Perry gets caught napping as Santos dives in and scores a takedown. Perry manages to retain guard. Santos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perry swivels though and keeps the full guard. Perry had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Santos defends it easily. Perry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Santos wants to get up but he can't break Perry's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos sitting in guard, not really doing much. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Perry tries to land a sweep but no joy. Santos trying to stand up but can't free himself from Perry's guard. Perry is trying to keep Santos in close.
Perry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Santos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santos has managed to get both his arms back between Perry's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Santos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Perry is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Santos kicks Perry off and gets back to his feet. Santos feints and as Perry raises his hands in defense, Santos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Perry avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Santos looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Santos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Perry looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Axel Santos dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Perry enables Santos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Perry manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Perry working a defensive guard here.
Santos won't allow Perry to sweep him here. Santos has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Perry to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Santos is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Perry pulls down on the head and he's put Santos to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lane Perry!
