Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eldar Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sipho Kunene!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith scores with a nice right hand.
Smith scores with a jab to the body.
Kunene throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kunene takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Smith works Kunene's body with a nice hook.
Kunene tries to move into range but Smith moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Smith cracks Kunene with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kunene looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Smith finish him?
Kunene is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith dances in with a quick combination. Kunene is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Smith snaps Kunene's head back. Kunene stumbles backwards against the cage. Smith steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Kunene's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Kunene just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Eldar Smith!
Eldar Smith decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
