Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Xande Shoyoroll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoyoroll shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense.

Shoyoroll shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Shoyoroll's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Shoyoroll throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shoyoroll throws a lazy right hand but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jackson's coach down at Highland Brawl Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jackson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xande Shoyoroll. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackson misses with a body shot.
Xande Shoyoroll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shoyoroll ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.
Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Shoyoroll slips a jab and a cross from Jackson.
Shoyoroll shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jackson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Jackson lands a big head kick that sends Shoyoroll tumbling to the mat! Jackson takes a step backwards and waves Shoyoroll back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Xande Shoyoroll's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Jackson is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Shoyoroll flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Shoyoroll is out cold! Jackson holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
