Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rolland Haynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Sherman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rolland Haynes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chuck Sherman! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sherman has taken the fight to the clinch.
Haynes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Haynes working Sherman over with knees to the body. With the fighters up against the cage, Sherman throws an elbow but misses. Haynes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sherman moves into the clinch. Sherman is trying to break the clinch but Haynes has him pressed against the cage. Haynes breaks from the clinch.
Sherman feints and as Haynes raises his hands in defense, Sherman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Haynes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sherman is one step ahead there. Sherman trying to control the position from guard on top but Haynes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haynes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Haynes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sherman is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherman looking to pass the guard. Haynes pushes Sherman off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Sherman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Haynes's half guard. Haynes manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Sherman keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Sherman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sherman scores with a takedown into Haynes's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haynes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sherman defends it easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Haynes tries to land a sweep but no joy. Haynes is looking to stand up but Sherman isn't so interested in that idea. Haynes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Haynes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Haynes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Haynes will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Haynes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Haynes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sherman swivels and escapes. Sherman pushes Haynes up against the cage in a clinch. Sherman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Haynes manages to break the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Haynes blocks a low kick nicely. Haynes tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Sherman manages to circle out of the way. Sherman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Haynes's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chuck Sherman will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Nice defenses there by Haynes. Sherman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Haynes sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sherman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Haynes sprawls well initially but Sherman persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Haynes has one foot on Sherman's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sherman moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Haynes lands a head kick!
Sherman shoots in and gets a takedown into Haynes's guard. Sherman is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Haynes wants to stand but Sherman is controlling the position. Haynes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Haynes has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sherman is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherman tries to pull guard but Haynes forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Sherman taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Haynes tries to break the clinch but Sherman is controlling the position. Haynes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sherman gets the takedown into side control. Haynes sneaks out the side door and pushes Sherman away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Sherman misses with a head kick.
Sherman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Haynes, pushing him back against the cage. Sherman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Haynes pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rolland Haynes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Sherman.

Sherman on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Sherman with a lazy takedown attempt and Haynes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Haynes instigates a clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A short body shot lands from Haynes as the two fighters clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rolland Haynes will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Haynes cracks Sherman with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Sherman clinches. Haynes is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Haynes stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Sherman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Haynes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sherman lands with a nice combination. Haynes backs away looking to recover. A big right from Sherman misses. As Sherman tries to get set, Haynes tries to push him back and clinch up but Sherman manages to avoid the attempt. Haynes misses with a takedown attempt - Sherman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Haynes dives in and grabs Sherman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sherman pushes down on Haynes's head and hops out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sherman shoots in and drives through. Haynes sprawls well. Haynes attempts a counter takedown but Sherman avoids it well and moves away. Haynes keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Haynes shoots in and bounces Sherman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Haynes is standing up over Sherman. Sherman looks to escape but Haynes dives into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sherman trying his best to control but Haynes has mounted him. Haynes scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Rolland Haynes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Haynes lands a heavy elbow. Sherman taking shots to the head.
