Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodeo Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beleleu Petkovic!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petkovic shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Joe napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Joe is looking to regain half guard here but Petkovic keeps moving and retains side control.
Check out the look on Petkovic's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Joe is trying to improve his position.
You can see the frustration on Joe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joe gets back to half guard.

Petkovic wants to work for an arm triangle but Joe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Joe tries to roll over but Petkovic keeps him under control.
Petkovic working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.


It looks like Rodeo Joe has been cut.
Petkovic wants to take a breather but Joe is having none of it.
Joe is pressing down on Petkovic's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Petkovic wants to pass the guard but Joe is keeping the position.

Joe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Petkovic defends it easily.
Petkovic wants to pass the guard but Joe is keeping the position.
Petkovic throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Joe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Petkovic wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving.

Joe has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Petkovic wants to stand but Joe has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Joe looking for a guillotine here but Petkovic defends easily.
Petkovic postures up in Joe's guard and throws a big left but Joe blocks it.

Joe looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Petkovic working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Joe's head.
Joe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Petkovic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Joe has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Petkovic should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Joe has tightened it up now! Petkovic should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rodeo Joe!
Rodeo Joe spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
