The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard moves forwards but Rodenbucher connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Jens Howard has been cut.
Howard fails to land the takedown.
Howard takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rodenbucher slips under a jab.
Rodenbucher throws a right hand that Howard ducks under and follows up with a left that Howard also avoids with ease.
Rodenbucher has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Rodenbucher swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Howard.
Howard slips a jab and a cross from Rodenbucher.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodenbucher missing with a left hand there. Howard was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Howard throws a right and a left that both miss.
Howard throws a series of punches but Rodenbucher avoids them all with ease.
Rodenbucher cracks Howard with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Howard looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rodenbucher finish him?
Howard is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rodenbucher throws a pinpoint strike between Howard's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Howard crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Rodenbucher scores a great knockout victory!
