Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Fitzpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jani Zsoldos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jani Zsoldos has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dan Fitzpatrick's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Fitzpatrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jani Zsoldos!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zsoldos tries to bum rush Fitzpatrick with a series of wild strikes but Fitzpatrick uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zsoldos scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


It looks like Dan Fitzpatrick has been cut.
Fitzpatrick throws a sloppy head kick and Zsoldos moves out of range easily.

Zsoldos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fitzpatrick to the ground. Zsoldos is now in Fitzpatrick's guard.
Fitzpatrick is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fitzpatrick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fitzpatrick controls Zsoldos momentarily but Zsoldos frees himself.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Fitzpatrick drives through and clinches with Zsoldos against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zsoldos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fitzpatrick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fitzpatrick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Zsoldos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fitzpatrick.

Zsoldos looking to score a takedown here. Fitzpatrick is defending well but Zsoldos drives through and ends up in Fitzpatrick's guard.

Fitzpatrick has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Zsoldos is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Fitzpatrick wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Zsoldos has him pressed against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Zsoldos takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Fitzpatrick ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fitzpatrick no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Zsoldos passes Fitzpatrick's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Zsoldos is looking to advance position but Fitzpatrick won't allow it.
Zsoldos is keen to just control but Fitzpatrick is a slippery customer.

Zsoldos has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zsoldos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Zsoldos has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fitzpatrick is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Fitzpatrick will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Zsoldos walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fitzpatrick checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Zsoldos is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fitzpatrick is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fitzpatrick has escaped and now he's on top!

Zsoldos wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Fitzpatrick is rocked!

Zsoldos closes the distance looking for a takedown. Fitzpatrick stuffs it but Zsoldos still has hold of him. Zsoldos picks Fitzpatrick up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Zsoldos slams Fitzpatrick to the floor and that's really hurt Fitzpatrick - he doesn't know where he is! Zsoldos throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jani Zsoldos!
