Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hoyt Orr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dario Maxime!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Maxime.
Maxime throws a combination. Orr tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Hoyt Orr has been cut.
Orr circles away from the clinch attempt.
Orr stuffs the takedown attempt from Maxime. Maxime gets slowly back to his feet.
Maxime rushes Orr and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Orr drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maxime is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Maxime wants to stand but Orr has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Maxime is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Orr is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maxime stays in close to Orr's body and controls the position.
Maxime works over Orr with some ground and pound from guard.

Maxime stands up over Orr, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Orr is striking from the bottom but Maxime uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Maxime throwing shots but Orr is blocking nicely.
Maxime wants to stand up but Orr has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Maxime has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Orr is looking to control Maxime's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Orr avoid being mounted?
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Maxime throws a sloppy head kick and Orr moves out of range easily.
Maxime takes the fight into the clinch.
Orr is trying to break the clinch but Maxime has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maxime has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Orr after a bit of a struggle.
Maxime tries for a takedown but Orr manages to get underhooks.
Hoyt Orr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dario Maxime.
Orr content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Orr could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Maxime turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Maxime scores with a couple of short elbows.
Maxime misses with the ground and pound.
Orr wants to get back to his feet but Maxime is dominant here and he's now got Orr's back!
Maxime working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Maxime just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Orr tries to escape but Maxime has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Orr is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Maxime.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Maxime shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Orr is trying to defend but Maxime finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Orr scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Maxime manages to mount him!
Maxime lands a big elbow.
Maxime connects with a bit shot that sees Orr covering up! More strikes from Maxime and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Maxime is our winner by TKO!
