The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kent closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Jones has his foot on Kent's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kent works his way back into a safe position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kent is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jones can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kent takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kent can do anything to dispel that myth.
