Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Lockheart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Demetrius Jayson!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lockheart fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lockheart tries for a takedown but Jayson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Jayson counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurt Lockheart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jayson digs a good body shot into Lockheart's ribs.
Jayson throws a lazy right hand but Lockheart sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jayson.
Lockheart shoots in and drives through. Jayson sprawls well.
A nice side step and Jayson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jayson stays in close to Lockheart's body and controls the position.
Jayson tries to stand but Lockheart is controlling from the bottom.
Lockheart is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jayson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lockheart pulls Jayson in close to his closed guard and prevents Jayson from doing any damage or advancing position.

Lockheart wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Jayson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lockheart swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lockheart is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jayson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Lockheart tries to move into range but Jayson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Lockheart shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jayson sprawls well. Jayson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lockheart gets slowly back to his feet.

Lockheart steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jayson. That one must have hurt.
Lockheart fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jayson, right into the meat.
Lockheart takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lockheart is looking to counter the offense by Jayson and move into the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jayson. Lockheart does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Jayson counters with a nice body shot.
Jayson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lockheart.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demetrius Jayson dominated that round.

Jayson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lockheart moves away.
Jayson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Lockheart gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lockheart takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jayson leaves Lockheart with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lockheart takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Lockheart chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jayson can pounce on him.
Lockheart has been working on his balance at Morbid Conditioning, Trans, Esc School $1000, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Jayson.
Jayson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lockheart was well out of range. Poor timing from Jayson.
Jayson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lockheart is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Jayson lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Lockheart - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Jayson!

Kurt Lockheart was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm sorry I did not deliver. I'll work harder in order not to disappoint the fans.'.
